Welcome to Akis Apartments, in Paleokastritsa (Palaiokastritsa), Corfu Island, Greece. Akis Apartments is pleased to offer accommodations for your stay in beautiful Paleokastritsa! We are a small, family-owned company that has operated for over 50 years an take pride in offering our customers comfortable apartments and personal service. Our accommodations are ideal for couples and young families!
Akis Apartments is owned and operated by the Michalas family, and is principally managed by myself, Alexander, during the summer months. Our family is originally from Lakones, a town just 10 minutes away from Paleokastritsa, and we love to help others discover the beauty of Corfu Island. I can recommend traditional villages and beaches to visit, that most tourists might miss.

Paleokastritsa & Area
Paleokastritsa offers mountain and sea experiences. There are many beaches and nearby isolated islands (Mathraki, Othonoi, Erikoussa), as well as organized tours of other areas in Corfu (Roda, Sidari, and the beautiful islands of Paxoi and Antipaxoi) available from the local travel agencies in Paleokastritsa.
Nearby Attractions
Hikers will enjoy the picturesque paths leading to the mountain village Lakones. This hike is about 4 km and offers a breathtaking view.
A 6 km hike will take you to the old Byzantine castle Angelokastro (or Agelokastro), after which you can appreciate a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea.
You may also enjoy visiting the Old Monastery and its Sea Artifacts Museum. It also has a small shop selling hand-crafted gifts. The monastery is located up on a hill about 500 meters from Paleokastritsa's main beach.
Sports and Leisure
Paleokastritsa is also one of the best snorkelling and scuba diving spots in Corfu, and one of the best in Greece.
Golfers can also enjoy an 18-hole golf course at the Corfu Golf Club. The golf course is approximately 15km from the apartments and is open all year long.
Aqualand, the biggest water park in Greece, is located 15 minutes away from Paleokastritsa and is ideal for families.
Local Festivities
Paleokastritsa is well known in Corfu for the local celebrations and festivities. A three day festival takes place every second week of July, with plenty of food, music, and wine. This festival features local dance groups in traditional dress and a firework show. August 15 is a national celebration of the Virgin Mary, with flee markets and local singing bands, and wonderful food and drink.
Nightlife and Entertainment
“Tavernas” with traditional food, drinks and dance provide fun and entertainment, Greek-style. For those who prefer the nightlife, bars with mainstream music and affordable prices are there for your enjoyment.
